Soils in the New Zealand Landscape - the Living Mantle, 2nd Edition", by Les Molloy, is an outstanding book on New Zealand soils and the agriculture and landscapes they underlie. This book is superbly illustrated with colour photographs, and it is a classic work on New Zealand soils. An essential companion for all who are interested in the use, conservation and science of our soil resource. The first printing sold out in 1992, and the 2nd Edition is now available. The new edition contains an additional chapter by Allan Hewitt, detailing the new New Zealand Soil Classification.

Soil 2000: New Horizons for a New Century

Proceedings for the "Soil 2000: New Horizons for a New Century" Conference are available. This conference was held in December 2000, and was the New Zealand and Australian Second Joint Soils Conference. The set of three volumes cost NZ$60 (GST incl) plus postage.
